UBM Feed Plant to be built in Adaševci, Serbia




UBM Group breaks ground for a feed mill in Adaševci, Serbia. More than a 150,000 tons of animal feed will be produced in the UBM feed plant each year.

On March 9th, President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó attended the ceremony of the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of a UBM Group's feed plant, which will provide around 100 new jobs.


The Serbian feed plant of the 100% Hungarian-owned UBM Group will be built on the 20-hectare development area of ​​the Adaševci Industrial Park by Abraziv Ltd. It will be able to produce up to 200,000 tonnes of feed per year and supply the region and surrounding countries with high-quality, GMO-free poultry, pig, cattle and feed supplements.


Our relationship is an example of successful cooperation, and now we are adding another bright spot to these successes. With the support of the Hungarian and Serbian governments, we are opening what is an investment of 9.1 billion Hungarian forints, which is how much Hungary has invested in this plant. It will be a profitable business for both economies, said Szijjártó.

The Adasevci investment of 24 million euros is backed by Hungarian government support of 6.3 million euros, and the company’s production capacity will exceed 1 million tonnes each year as a result. Also, together with Serbian suppliers, hundreds of new jobs will be created, he added.


UBM Group is a leading feed producer and market-leading trading group in cereal, oilseed, and protein crops in Hungary. It is engaged in the production and distribution of animal feed, as well as trade in raw materials for its production. In addition to Hungary, the company operates in 10 other countries and employs 430 people.
